Erin Molan has been added to the full-time panel of Channel Nine’s The Footy Show

IT once had a reputation for being grubby and vulgar and more about fart jokes than footy games. Not anymore.

Channel Nine’s Footy Show is undergoing another makeover this year with glamorous reporter Erin Molan being promoted to the full-time panel role.

Molan has been a regular contributor to the show for the last two years doing interviews, team changes and match previews.

Executive producer Glenn Pallister says it was time to give her a bigger presence on the show.

Hardly think she is 'glamorous' but good on her all the same. Definitely more articulate than some others on that show.

She is way too intelligent to be working with those total clowns that make up the Footy show.

Should be hosting a show with Peter Striling and maybe someone like Daniel Anderson on the panel then have a player from a different club each week as a guest.

That would be a channel 9 show worth watching

The thing is, no matter who's on the show, they still do the stupid drawn out quizzes and games. I thought they put Slater on to try and make it a bit more professional, but it's still over the top crap.

I'm not an AFL fan, but I've watched some of their Footy Show, and it's about 10 times more professional. Even with that one guy that always makes his own grand entrance every week (I dunno his name)

Sometimes the NRL Footy Show goes 20 minutes without even mentioning football. It's like Paul Vautin's personal variety show, with 5 minutes of actual discussion on the games at the end of the show. And most of the time the panelists are uninterested in half the games, especially any Raiders game. It's not a good look when the people on the Footy Show show a lack of interest in the footy.

But I dunno, maybe I'm just getting old and crabby. Most of the people I know think it's the best show ever. I guess it's an accurate depiction of the majority of rugby league fans. Racism and fart jokes.

I also think the whole Beau Ryan segment has well and truly run its course.

Oh, and congrats Erin Molan. At least the Raiders will get a 30sec mention every week now.

Sterlo's show is good. It's not that hard to make a decent panel show.

I don't know what they are trying to do with the Matty Johns show. The analysis part is decent enough but clearly get sidetracked too easily.

Although at least they aren't doing the equivalent of letting Beau Ryan loose on the street...

Yes they do... they let Hindy and Fletch loose on Bondi Beach last week. It is embarrassing that the NRL's official broadcaster does stuff like this.

Didn't see that :|

Surely it can't be as bad as Beau Ryan though.

They need to work out what they want to be; another **** and giggles NRL show or a proper analysis show. From what I can see, at the moment they are 3/4 **** and giggles and 1/4 proper analysis. And that equals a massive, stinking pile of ****. Make a decision and stick with it.

As I type they are pissing themselves laughing at themselves at something. no one can even talk.

If Matty Johns could guarantee they don't include more than two sentences involving the Canberra Raiders, then I'd stop watching. It has become incredibly poor stuff.

It isnt a great show and Begbie nails it where they are confused what they want to be .

I do enjoy some of the flashback stuff , like slowest players etc but the crap with Fletch and Hindy and Tallis is a bit over the top , although I did laugh when Hindy took out the Rooster mascot.

Thursday night footy show is the pits , its the worst thing on TV
Sunday footy show is okay
The Roast used to be great , still is ok
Sterlo is good ( although havent watched it this year yet )
NRL360 not to bad either
Matty , not great , not as bad as Thursday Night footy show either

Is that Hindy as in Nathan Hindmarsh?

What a complete waste of space he is. At least Gordon Tallis actually watches some of the games before commenting on the issues.

The Matty Johns show just needs to cut all the segments and be a 40-60 minute wrap up of the round. The blokes are loose enough to force a laugh without the **** coma inducing segments about Steve Menzies' wallet.
well, I guess you could say that I'm buy curious.

Did Sterlo's show just completely brush over the Raiders vs Titans preview?

Have to admit, I did have a laugh at the Bohemian Rhapsody with footy players on The Footy Show. TLL, Shillo and JMcCrone included.

I was actually surprised we got 3 players in it.

I have a good laugh over the multinetwork. Jamie Soward is funny.
