Wait what?

Matty Johns said he'd have people get married on his show once it happens. Not sure if he was being genuine or a smart ****, but Gordie seemed genuine.
Gina Riley: Oh, come on, John. That’s a bit old hat, the corrupt IOC delegate.
John Clarke: Old hat? Gina, in the scientific world when they see that something is happening again and again and again, repeatedly, they don’t call it old hat. They call it a pattern.

Triple m's approach to both NRL and afl is irreverent , it's fun to listen to

I don't think it would work on TV

All good except for Bill Harrigan.

Team x scores a try. Everyone is celebrating. DG is recounting the play from start to finish. Then all of a sudden Bill cuts in "well really, twelve plays ago should have been a penalty because Thaiday was 30 centimetres offside from the play of the ball... "

just talked about his Canberra days , why he left , he said he was sacked .
Biggest thing from the game was he got great mates.
Talked how he got into coaching.
Talked about SOO and the tests. His greatest no try was the one he said he set up for Mal to win the 2nd test. He said he had to do it after throwing the intercept.

Afterwards the praise from Joey , and Fittler for him was good to hear. Johns said he is the one he tried to copy. learnt how a halfback could control a game through his kicking.

Mike Cooper... special guest for the Sunday Footy Show. Can't say any discernible impression has been left on my mind by this player. I honestly wondered who the hell this Mike Cooper was when it was announced he would be on the program at the start of the show.

This... yet the Raiders can't get a player on the show.

Nope, but Blake Austin will be on the Footy Show on this Thursday. The thing on Blake was a short video interview that went 2 mins max, heavily edited.

So we had a piece on a Raider a week or so ago, a raider will appear on the Thursday night edition this coming week and you're still having a gigantic sook?

Be honest, who's heard of Mike Cooper?

The announcement on Austin re this Thursday night happened afterwards.

The post obviously refers to the "guest host" role, not a 90 second edited video segment on Erin Molan's segment. I did a transcript of said segment, so people here could read it, so surely I would remember it.

You just complained about Mike Cooper? Cooper has been playing well, it's good to have unsung heroes on the panel.

That was the exact point! They're prepared to have someone no one has ever heard of from a Sydney club, but the people excusing the lack of Raiders content is that no one has ever heard of them. Because they never put the Raiders on their channel, let alone their programs.

I think I know what GE is saying. They have regular members like the guy from manly who is a bench/ reserve grade forward (Jesse some hyphen name?) they regularly have this class of player on the show from the Sydney teams. So they'd rather have some no name Sydney player then a star Canberra player (except this Thursday apparently)
I have heard of mike cooper and he seems to be going alright and has that bit of novelty factor being from England etc.

Isn't it filmed in Sydney? Doesnt it make sense that players who live 30kms from the **** studio are easier to book and have more flexible availability than people in Canberra who have to fly/drive 300kms?

Canberra players appearing on the Sunday show would just about have to be on the first plane out of Canberra to get into make-up and go through all the run down stuff. On the Thursday, they'd have to fly out late after training, and come in first thing in the morning and probably head straight to training or take time off. Least of all for those with kids or other commitments.

I dunno about you guys, but none of that sounds like fun to me, and not something i'd volunteer for often. Of course they have a **** load more players from sydney clubs, it's the only thing that logistically makes sense.
And yet still they have Blake Austin on a week ago for a piece, and they've got him coming in on Thursday night, and we're STILL crying about it!

Jesus wept.

It's like saying some place has the worst food you've ever tasted but going there every week for more so you can complain about it.
