I'll have a guess

Souths - bulldogs - panthers - cows
Top four in no particular order. Though cows suggesting they will rest Thurston is interesting considering the last few seasons they've scraped into the finals. With the new rules I would think Souths should slide but they seem to win more penalty counts than they lose even though they are the new Melbourne as far as wrestling and holding down goes. Bulldogs have gained a quality back and lost the pest but his replacement goes all right. Panthers are a good all around squad.

Warriors - tigers

Both big improvers

Manly - storm - roosters - sharks

Battling for the last two spots. Manly and storm are a shadow of their former great teams but you can never write them off, both champion teams that play every game with the sort of pride in their jersey that I wish our boys displayed more than a couple of times a season. Sharks and knights have a bit to play for.

The rest are making up the numbers. Titans and Saints in an epic battle for the spoon. Losing Bird and Merrin, their best forward/s will destabilise both sides.

I do a prediction and preview each year on a different site (that's always hilariously wrong). When going through projected lineups etc etc this year I noticed there are very few clubs that have obviously improved their squad or at least retained and developed what they already had so it will grow and be stronger this year. The only clubs that have undoubtedly done that (IMO) are:

Melbourne: Giving themselves options in the halves, holding onto their spine (who didn't have a crazy off season for once) and bringing in the severely under rated Finucane. TLL and Nona are small gambles that could pay off really well, but won't cost the club if they don't. They lose Hoffman but Tohu Harris is entering the prime of his career. McLean, the Bromwiches and Proctor are a year older and stronger. It might be the last chance this group has of a premiership.

North Qld: One big loss in Tariq Sims that was unavoidable. Taumololo should fill that void this year though and they've grabbed some potentially astute bargain buys in Hannant, Granville, O'Neill and Tanginoa. If Coote returns to anywhere near his from from Penrith it's essentially like a new signing too. It's the strongest squad in the comp for mine and if they learn to win in Sydney when it counts they'll win the comp.

Canberra: We've covered it over and over but Stuart has upgraded where it was needed. Most signings are gambles but there is little doubt it will be an improving squad.

You could argue that Cronulla and Penrith are in the same boat. Cronulla have improved their backline out of sight but their pack keeps getting older and Barba is hit and miss, even compared to Carney. Penrith have this whole moneyball thing everyone is harping on about and Soward was great last year. But he and Wallace (ploder) are another year older and it may get them home in tight NRL games but won't win them games when it counts.
well, I guess you could say that I'm buy curious.

Signature Bet - Raider85 - Raiders to get(Lucy)/miss(R85) the wooden spoon. Signature for entire offseason.
Bottle of something to the value of $70 - Matthew Borewood to not see (Lucy)/to see (Piggles) a first grade game in 2015 for the Warriors.
The Name Change Bet - Regarding the three bets above;
I win all three I keep my name.

On Penrith - Wallace is the perfect definition of plodder , I cant see them using him all year , they have to find an alternate option. Also the Seg/Api combo Im not sold on. Potentially brilliant individual players , but combined , in the one team , Im not convinced that is going to work

I dont think they have any genuine options. They may have to manufacture one or drag one from the 20s

May I ask what the fascination with Cronulla is? I'm not sure how/why they're getting picked in top 8s. They've made some good back line signings but it's an old and injury prone pack and their spine is ordinary. Gordon and Ennis are past their prime and Robson was never great to start with. Losing their best young playmaker in Nu Brown compounds all of that too.
well, I guess you could say that I'm buy curious.

Sure cronulla's pack is getting old but so are the big 3 at Storm, yet you've picked than at 4. Sharks still have arguably the best pack in the comp.
Will be interesting to see how roosters go, I think they will miss mini at the back. He was worth a few errors a game but he did a lot of off the ball work in defence.

Yeah but theyre 3 of the best players in the game who have won countless finals and rep matches. Incomparable for mine.

Not sure I agree here. I see this combo akin to having Hayne and Inglis playing fullback. You just tell them "You're getting 20 mins a half. Go out there and give every ounce of energy you have, you get a huge rest after a stint so I expect you to be in everything."

Those two are very, very solid players. Seggy proved he can play a whole game and play well, but he has a little more explosiveness playing stints, and Api will suit that role well. He is an amazing 2nd hooker.

My prediction is that there will be a ladder in 2015.
Gina Riley: Oh, come on, John. That’s a bit old hat, the corrupt IOC delegate.
John Clarke: Old hat? Gina, in the scientific world when they see that something is happening again and again and again, repeatedly, they don’t call it old hat. They call it a pattern.

Yeah but anything above 1.8m you need fall restraints, and you shouldn't be using above 1m in an office. God, do you even care about safety?

No, I don't. Not even one bit. In fact, I don't just plug a power board into another power board, but that one into yet another, and run Manbush's aircon off it.
