Those passes are backwards when you play the Raiders.

Caught the half time show where they showed Benji's pass that was called forward and Gasnier (who I can understand the bias) and Anasta both claim that it was ok, thrown backwards out of the hands and floated forward. It looked worse than Luke Lewis's pass for Holmes to score against us last week.

I must have watched a different replay, but I cannot understand how someone running sideways can throw a pass backwards and end up with it going a metre or more forward. Is it that I just don't understand the complex aerodynamics of a rugby league ball?

Yes. Yes it is. That one was about the third forward pass called in 5 minutes as well.

Hard to see him getting back to his old self. Look at Yau Yeh and Tuiaki (spelling atrocious) never recovering from their ankles. It well be a miracle if he even gets close to his previous level of elusiveness

Yeah i dont think we need to invoke Yow Yeh and Tuaki's injuries for SJ just yet, but i do take the point he's trying to make, the last thing a player like him needs is dodgey ankles. His game is predicated on his footwork, if he loses that, he's just a stock standard footballer and there is no telling how this kind of injury might impact his footwork. Look at Campese, one devestating knee injury, took him 18 months to find his feet again only for it to blow out once more and he never got back

anyways, he's a tremendous player to watch, and that Warriors team with RTS and Luke could something special, i really hope he's able to come back the player he was before this injury

Yes "shoestring budget " for 3rd party deals compared to "shoe empire " budget for Broncos 3rd party deals.

That is a shocking call against the Bulldogs. No way the player could have pulled out of the tackle on Holmes. Penalty in front to Sharks.

74th min Sharks 18-10

Love how the Sharks CEO slams the behaviour of the Fifita brothers, but they take no action and no standing down: http://www.news.com.au/sport/nrl/fifita ... 7457437442
