That can't be for real.
Gina Riley: Oh, come on, John. That’s a bit old hat, the corrupt IOC delegate.
John Clarke: Old hat? Gina, in the scientific world when they see that something is happening again and again and again, repeatedly, they don’t call it old hat. They call it a pattern.

Budget for halves largely tapped out, I guess.

Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by Mods. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Nickman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Lucy, and you curse GE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that GE’s moderation, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps threads on track and under the appropriately sized, highlighted green headings.
You want moderation because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that forum -- you need me on that forum. We use words like "stay on topic," "use the appropriate forum," "please delete." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very moderation that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a green handle and edit a post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think about moderation.

Cowboys under salary cap investigation.

Some builder who built houses for jt's mum, tamou, bowen, odonnell and now morgan charged them half the price of the build and cows apparently picked up the other half

As much as I am a huge Canberra fan and generally want every bit of luck to fall our way, the last thing I want to see as a League fan is another salary cap scandal.

The more and more that these clubs get caught the less they will want to try to do it in the future. I know that most if not all clubs are doing something dodgy but if the NRL and by that I mean the media catch these clubs and they are handed massive fines and deducted points they might just think twice about doing it.

They should just refuse to cooperate, worked for the Broncos.

The Cowboys rumours are just that at this stage. Cowboys are also unaware of anything other than rumour.

NRL ceo Dave Smith is in Townsville but is only here for scheduled business presentation booked weeks ago. NRL are aware of cowboys rumours.

Thurston should just ring the NRL and say he will quit if they bust them. Worked for GI at Souths.

That would only work if JT was going to one of the blessed clubs.

If enough get busted surely the league has to take a serious look at the cap and and clubs line ups and all things related.

Cowboys face questions following revelations of property deals involving players and club chairman Laurence Lancini

THE NRL will not launch a salary-cap investigation into the Cowboys amid revelations a number of high-profile players acquired properties from club chairman and millionaire developer Laurence Lancini.

Fairfax Media reported 10 leading Cowboys stars — including co-captains Johnathan Thurston and Matt Scott — allegedly bought vacant blocks of land and apartments from Lancini’s companies over the past seven years.

Just days after the NRL launched a salary-cap probe into the Eels, there were fears the Cowboys could be the next club to come under the microscope after allegations of the slew of property deals.

But the NRL believe the Cowboys have no case to answer unless any concrete evidence of a potential salary-cap rort comes to light.

The Head of Integrity at the NRL, Nick Weeks, said auditors had already reviewed some of the matters raised and no further action was required.

As any new information becomes available it will be reviewed by the auditors,” he said.

So what they are saying is that unless someone does our job for us and pretty much breaks the case and stacks all of the evidence on our desk we will not do our job and actually look into it? Is that how everyone else reads it or am I wrong?

The Gold Coast Titans are within 48 hours of signing unwanted Knights halfback Tyrone Roberts. An announcement is expected any day after weeks of negotiations between the two clubs and Roberts’ manager.

Yeah, that'll toughen up the Titans.

That was really hard to say without laughing.

Falloon's Titans return only temporary

Beau Falloon has been brought back into the Titans team to face the Bulldogs on Sunday but coach Neil Henry has revealed that he is not part of the club's future beyond 2015.
