NYC Match Preview: Raiders vs Dragons

Canberra Raiders NYC team will be looking to bounce back from what was a disappointing display last time out against the New Zealand Warriors when they face up against the winless Saint George Illawarra Dragons on Saturday afternoon.

“I thought the players had a chance last week they just didn’t aim up so decided to change it. With the under 20s you get a couple of chances if you not up to it we will give someone else a go and you go back and train hard and prove you want to be back there” Mantelli said.

Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by Mods. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Nickman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Lucy, and you curse GE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that GE’s moderation, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps threads on track and under the appropriately sized, highlighted green headings.
You want moderation because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that forum -- you need me on that forum. We use words like "stay on topic," "use the appropriate forum," "please delete." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very moderation that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a green handle and edit a post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think about moderation.

Canberra Raiders dominate Dragons in Holden Cup

A dominating bounce back performance for the Canberra Raiders Holden Cup team has seen them run all over the St George Illawarra Dragons in an eleven-tries-to-two victory at Canberra Stadium.

Raiders playmaker and Captain Lachlan Croker initiated the first try, making a 30 metre break up the middle of the park before managing to get a pass inside to Lachlan Lewis who was brought down in a tackle. During the next play the ball found its way to Brenko Lee who crashed over for a try in the fourth minute. Unfortunately Croker was unable to convert leaving the score 4-0.

After a Dragons error twenty metres away from the Raiders try line the Green Machine made them pay. Jack Williams broke the Dragons defence open palming off a would be tackle from Dragons full back Leigh Higgins to score under the post making for an easy conversion attempt for Croker, leaving them with an ten point lead with 14 minutes gone.

Croker shines again as Canberra Raiders twenties hammer Dragons

Mitch Cornish has already graduated to the NRL, but Lachlan Croker could be the next halfback off Canberra's junior production line after producing a standout display in the Raiders 60-10 under-20s thrashing of St George Illawarra on Saturday.
