Former juniors - where they are now

Post by Travis » March 28, 2015, 8:56 am

I thought some might be interested in knowing where some of our former juniors have ended up.

In the QLD Cup:

Both Jonathon Rueben and Mosese Pangai are playing for Townsville (North QLD feeder side):
Townsville Blackhawks v CQ Capras at Jack Manski Oval on Saturday, March 28 - 5pm

Daniel Beasley (c) 11. Glenn Hall 12. Rhyse Martin 13. Neville Costigan 14. Ray Thompson 15. Lorenzo Ma'afu 16. Chris McLean 17. Corey Jensen
Travis Waddell is halfback at Souths Logan:
Souths Logan Magpies: 1. Josh Damen 2. Samisoni Vaioleti 3. Dallas Anderson 4. Tim Brookes 5. Matt Trnka 6. Dylan Taikato-Simpson 7. Travis Waddell 8. Andrew Edwards (c) 9. Herschel Gideon 10. Coach: Josh Hannay
Daniel Vidot is playing prop for Ipswich this weekend:
Ipswich Jets: 1. Troy O'Sullivan 2. Marmin Barba 3. Chris Walker 4. Nemani Valekapa 5. Carlin Anderson 6. Josh Cleeland 7. Dane Phillips 8. Daniel Vidot 9. Matt Parcell 10. Rod Griffin 11. Sam Martin 12. Kurt Capewell 13. Keiron Lander (c) 14. Gerico Cecil 15. Kurtis Lingwoodock 16. Billy McConnachie 17. Liam Capewell
all from http://www.qrl.com.au/intrust-super-cup ... teams.html. You can access match stats from last round here: http://www.qrl.com.au/news/2015/03/27/p ... ound_.html - Rueben produced impressive stats.

Also, David Leapai is playing for Hervey Bay in the Bundaberg competition:
HERVEY Bay Seagulls are the only team with two wins after two rounds of the Bundaberg Broadcasters A Grade Premiership after out muscling hosts and fellow first-up victors Wallaroos at Eskdale Park, Maryborough on Saturday night... Five-eighth and club junior product David Leapai, who has also played in the Intrust Super Cup for Northern Pride and was signed by Melbourne Storm in 2013, also dazzled in tandem with his halves partner and former Bundaberg A Grade Player of the Year Clinton Horne, who has returned home, and they repeatedly unleashed their lethal back-line.

Shame we could never get him to aim up. He should be another Vaughan.

Gee Rueben would be worth another look I reckon.
