Michael Gordon is the ref?
Gina Riley: Oh, come on, John. That’s a bit old hat, the corrupt IOC delegate.
John Clarke: Old hat? Gina, in the scientific world when they see that something is happening again and again and again, repeatedly, they don’t call it old hat. They call it a pattern.

Hey MattyStorm, have you watched much of the Melbourne 20s side this year? If so, how is Mack Mason going? He has been playing in the halves, but is named at Hooker this week. He was an excellent halfback at 17; made the QLD schoolboys side. He was "signed" to a Broncos Elite Player Development deal and they had him at Churchie on a scholarship (he was from Mitchell, in the Darling Downs). Turns out those EPD things aren't binding as he jumped ship to Melbourne at the beginning of last year. A real feelgood story!

I (very briefly) coached both Braydon and Mack as u18s at district schoolboys level, a year apart. Braydon had the size to be a great running 5/8, but lacked a bit in organisation and didn't run it nearly as much as his size should have allowed him. He may have developed this since, I don't know. Mack was a brilliant organiser and had a pretty decent running game. He was very level-headed and mature as a footy player. They both represented Met East and Mack went on to make the QLD schoolboys side. At their stage of development, I'd put Mack well on top; potential-wise, you've made a very astute buy. Hopefully Braydon is doing well for the Gold Coast 20s, though! Yes, Churchie is Anglican Church Grammar School.

Ok thanks mate, that sounds interesting, I was bummed out when we lost Braydon but sounds like we got a good replacement, mack has been working on his kicking game a lot, putting him at hooker this week n with his organisation storm might have him to replace cam in 3 yrs time, fingers crossed,

NYC Match Preview: Raiders v Storm

Having suffered a tough 36-22 loss against the undefeated Manly Sea Eagles last week, the Raiders NYC side will be looking to bounce back against the Melbourne Storm at Canberra Stadium this Sunday.

One of the young Raiders’ faults last weekend was the amount of penalties they conceded to Manly and Coach Mick Mantelli was quick to address the players about the problem.

“It’s a discipline issue,” Mantelli said. “We just need to talk to them and state the fact that it’s an individual, personal issue and they’ll get another chance to fix it.”

7th min There's a captain's challenge from the Melbourne Storm. Original decision of knock on stands. Would have been a Storm try otherwise.
