He never will unfortunately due to diplomatic ties with Vatican City, it's one thing I've seen both the Greens and One Nation agree on, cutting those ties. Due to it our police can't even subpoena their records in this country, the Catholic Church is officially above our laws and untouchable because of it, it's a **** joke that we continue to fund.

Next time he steps out of Vatican City to a country we have a deal with perhaps the police can put in an extradition request :hmmm

Haha awesome, wasn't aware Kate Miller-Heidke did a version at the music awards, more Aussie bands should. (Love the version of god in it  )

So being allowed to discriminate based on sexuality wasn't enough now they want the right to discriminate against people with mental health issues, and yes I'll bite my tongue on that

http://mobile.abc.net.au/news/2017-06-1 ... ok_Organic

Also want to ban yoga as it can lead to worshipping false gods (biting my tongue again)

I don't think the current Pope will protect him. The Pope won't want to damage his own legacy by publicly protecting an accused child abuser.

This could get messy if Pell refuses to return voluntarily. Extradition is notoriously difficult, especially if both countries aren't on the same page.

Are you kidding GEM this current Pope has carried on the tradition, he's reduced punishment for pedo priests to lifetime of prayers, removal from public ministry which means hidden in the Vatican, sacked CDF staff for being too harsh on pedos, the scum who were already being protected by the Vatican are still there, refused to cooperate with the royal commission and don't forget flew Pell over to work for him personally as soon as the **** started hitting the fan here, they simply do not care as they are above the law and know it.

If the Pope wants an extradition it will happen otherwise he could just kick Pell out of his country which we know won't happen, Pell will just play the too sick card and the Pope will look after him.

You're do sure of yourself huh.

Reflecting on your last post what's your comment now that he's stated he will be coming back to Australia to defend himself.

Pending medical advice so I'll believe it when I see it, just like when he was too "sick" to return for the royal commission.

If he has miraculously gotten better and returns I'll be very pleasantly surprised and hopeful they take the opportunity to charge him for covering up while he's in the county.

I'm loathe to do this, but Manbush is spot on here
Pell deserves no benefit of the doubt here. He's got form dodging this issue and until he actually fronts up to face these allegations, my presumption is that he'll continue to weasel his way out

I will add if he comes back then hats off to him, he'll deserve the credit for returning because he wants to not because of the Pope who has history of protecting scum.

Love how Tony Abbott has come out and given Pell a character reference like it means anything, the last priest Abbott did that for was convicted of abusing a 15yo.

Haha nope just **** that pops up on my feed sometimes due to pages I've liked, the drug fueled gay orgy I saw linked to many sites, had never heard of occupyvatican site before though that's a new one. Be a full time job linking all the religious stuff I see I'm just enjoying seeing Catholicism on their knees(will resist temptation to include tasteless joke).

Hahaha please

They could arrest and imprison every one of the top 500 catholic officials and the Catholic Church would go on largely unaffected

The gay orgy one is throughout many news sources globally, the other one is less reported so a bit more suspect but it wouldn't be the first time child porn has been discovered at the Vatican and considering their record of harboring pedos not at all surprising.

Pigman on its knees may have been an exaggeration but they are reeling from scandal after scandal, diminishing numbers, they are suffering as more and more people are waking up to their evils.

Different people consider different sources credible so do you consider The Australian, news.com, the Times or even the pro catholic site Catholic.org credible?

Haha classic manbush, questioning the legitimacy of mainstream media, all the while spruiking the validity of an anti-vatican story that only appears on a website called Occupy The Vatican. I'm sure that it's very balanced Manbush.

I would consider mainstream media a credible source, well more credible than the two sites that you have linked. This is made up Manbush. It didn't happen. Classic case of you finding some rubbish in the deepest murky depths of the interweb to confirm your all ready formed beliefs. Never change.

HAhai wasn't questioning the legitimacy or spruiking I just wanted to know what you considered credible so I can link that, I've seen too many bag out the mainstream media as fakenews so I just wanted your standards.

Gay orgy

On further inspection the child one looks to be old news from 2014/15

The first one definitely did happen and he's admitted the second one may not have been true.
He does post less than completely accurate articles quite often, but this time I think he's fine

Yep and the second one did happen but in my haste to laugh didn't realise it was talking about something a few years ago :opps

Side note, I see Pell is definitely on his way home not pulling the sick card again so hats off to him, be interesting to see what the exact charges are as I've heard not only for abuse but also possibly for covering up. Hard to see him getting a fair trial with all the talk and media about it, what are the odds of a mistrial?

The government in Malaysia are investigating if ex Muslims joined an atheist club in Kuala Lumpur, seriously wtf. As I've said previously the terrorists aren't the only ones the west needs to condemn it's the religious leaders and governments that push this archaic form of Islam, surprise surprise its the same country which recently banned a book written by a Malaysian academic which encourages moderate Islam.

Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by Mods. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Nickman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Lucy, and you curse GE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that GE’s moderation, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps threads on track and under the appropriately sized, highlighted green headings.
You want moderation because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that forum -- you need me on that forum. We use words like "stay on topic," "use the appropriate forum," "please delete." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very moderation that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a green handle and edit a post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think about moderation.

Because I care about people, I care if people are being oppressed, I care if countries are going down more extreme paths which will have a flow on for the rest of the world, it's a **** up situation where simply be ex any group can have you gaoled or killed, where the government bans a book that encourages moderation in today's climate, question should be more why wouldn't you care.

This one also has personal meaning as I communicate with some them on their FB page .

They're memebers of both Atheist Republic FB pages, ones open to the public where anyone can see posts the others private only authorized members can see, seriously depressing as **** some of the **** theyre scared of even just family or friends finding out. The page has done some good the latest I'm aware of was getting a gay ex Muslim out of Iran or Afghanistan safely to Canada.
