Rugby League Live 3 on new-gen has released a day early, it is now available at EB Games ($99.95) instead of tomorrow, and I expect JB to follow soon enough ($89.95).

It was announced last week that the last gen (PS3, 360) versions won't be released this week as scheduled, rather, towards the end of the month.

It also appears this title won't be carried in department stores such as K-Mart & Big W.

Only time I've played career mode was for Madden as quarter-back, just so I wouldn't have to defend. Since I could only control 1 player I would only ever do passing plays or quarter back runs, so would lose a lot.

You can play a career as a manager or a player, I like being the manager and buying players, etc.

Yeah, that's the exact only way I've ever played a career mode before too, Sid.

Heading to town soon to get my copy of RLL3. It has 2 weeks to impress me before NBA 2K16 is out and it will be game of the year, looks very impressive.

Well the game is an improvement on RLL2 that's for sure, the animations are good, the players move more fluent, you can actually play like league now using your forwards, your dummy half can get out and run.

They have 3 modes to play under Career on the main menu, Be a Pro Rookie, A Star Player or Coach Mode.
Rookie you make yourself and start in the 20's or Qld/NSW Cup also start over in the ESL comps, you work your way to the NRL, your can pick the team to start with, you just control your player on the field like Fifa, you have the arrow telling you where to move to if you get out of position.

Star is the the same as Rookie Mode but you can pick an NRL player and continue his career as of the start of 2015.

Coach Mode is like the old Franchise mode in RLL2, you start by signing a sponsor for cash then during your time you can play as the whole team irv simulate you can sign players at the start of June each year by the looks, each year starts with the 9's, you can pick your squad yep it was fun having Eddy Lee, Jacko and Blake running amuck, I lost in the semi final to,a full strength Roosters haha

The controls are pretty much the same as RLL2, a few new things but you can do the drills and practice all that.

You don't have a thousand intercepts like last time that was annoying, you need to play with more patients and just have some fun, the good teams sort you out if you race up to do a big hit and leave a gap in your D line they find it, the AI are better, I'm sure once you get better and move up difficulty level things will be much harder challenge.

Also the game had a day one patch 560mb I think it was, it also will have regular fan hub player updates, database updates. Anyone can make players look better and we can download them and use them in the game, the default players look pretty good from the few teams Ive seen/played against, Blake Austin looks good but the guy that made him gave him headtape.

Blake goes pretty good, you can take the line on with him, Boyd is huge and makes big metres, he's a weapon. I used both Sammy and Mitch Corn I sh in my 2 trial games against the Storm and Knights, Mitchy was very crafty and I felt more comfortable with his left foot kicking game on the left side of the field, I kicked a 40/20 with him, he also carved up in the 9's for me.

I'll see how the 2 go before June and decide if I try to buy another HB or plus wait to see if Sezer is off contract.

Oh yeah when you make yourself in Rookie Mode you can pick three positions to play, I picked centre, fullback, wing. I'm playing right Centre in the 20s team, Brenko is at left Centre. You can choose from heaps of commentary names for your player, you also get to have a jersey name and a number they would be if you sign with an ESL team during your career.
I noticed I must only be contracted until the end of 2015, my salary is $31 500.

I'd say your players will get selected for rep teams and you can choose to play.

In Rookie you can choose your state and country you want to play for.

This is great!! RLL2 is the only rugby league game I've never given heaps of time too, I can't wait for RLL3 to be out for PS2.

I think it also helps having a Raiders roster I actually want to play too!

Can you have expanded custom comps? My big bug bear with the last game was that I couldn't create custom teams and have a 20 team comp. Instead I had to replace the custom team with a current one.

I like the game in general, it's still a bit clunky, but it's streets better compared to rll2

I dislocated my elbow in the second trial and was out for 3 months
