Yeah I'm a bit deflated after that. Especially after knocking off Hawthorn last week.

Mundine is the guy who called Cathy Freeman a sell out.
Mundine is the guy who disparaged Indigenous Tasmanian's, his own community in a cheap shot at Daniel Geale
Mundine is the guy who labeled Arthur Beetson an Uncle Tom, despite the fact Big Artie has probably done more for his community than Mundine will ever dream of.

Mundine has done A LOT to undermine the cause of Aboriginals in nothing more than a cheap attempt to attract publicity, to create controversy in order to make some extra bucks, the attacks on Laurie Daley, Cathy Freeman, calling Artie an Uncle Tom and attacking indigenous tasmanians, the way he has tells you ALL you need to know about who Anthony Mundine is and what he stands for
Still waiting for SB to comment on these facts, he bowed out rather than try to justify how the guy with this kind of track record on indigenous issues is some kind of warrior of the indigenous cause

The Essendon crisis: Club and senior coach James Hird part ways

Essendon are expected to announce they have parted company with senior coach James Hird, effective immediately.

The resignation of Hird follows discussions by the Essendon board after the club's massive 112-point loss to Adelaide. But the move has been in the wind for some time, with the board increasingly of the view that Hird should move on.

The Essendon players were told of Hird's fate at about lunchtime on Tuesday. The club will hold a press conference on Tuesday afternoon.

Looks like the NRL jumped the gun with the reported massive 1.7billion dollar deal.

Hope there's something left for them after the 2.5 billion dollar deal for the AFL.

Paul Kent said last night that News Limited are " pissed off " at the way the NRL treated them during the whole independant comisssion.

It was funny watching the presser as Rupert was none to pleased when asked about the NRL deal saying he wasn't going to be involved in the negotiations.

So the Independant commission has become a roaring success, achieving absolutely nothing except bitting the hand that was feeding the NRL.

Absolutely.

When the likes of Coniglio, Shiels, Adams, Whitfield, Tyson, Patten, Cameron etc etc and probably Tom Boyd all reach their third and fourth years of playing they will be a powerhouse.

They took an even longer road than the Gold Coast by loading up with even more younger players. They will get there and I am a little worried it will be around the time Richmond are finally a top four side.
They'll be good but not a powerhouse, you just know half of those guys will get out of dodge once their contracts expire.
2 years down. GWS finish 11th with an 11-11 record. We'll see what happens next season. They won't be bothering Richmond in the finals this year anyway. :)

They dont have a lot of maturity in their legs or depth atm, the loss of Mumford and Sheils really hurt them when the kids started to fatigue late in the season.

Just on Sheils, he is going to be an absolute gun in three years.

I sincerely hope the Dockers can win it this year. They're due....but it will piss me off a little if Ross Lyon can get them over the line after failing 3 times with the Saints.
