Allwood out to shore up Warriors defence

Winger Matt Allwood wants to ensure he gets the basics done well as the Warriors try to repair their leaky edge defence against Wests Tigers in Sydney.

Do the Warriors know he had the highest missed tackles in his appearances in FG other than Tigers Brooks

Former Canberra centre Adrian Purtell has re-signed with Bradford for another two-years and capped his new deal off with a victory.

The 30-year-old scored a try in the Bulls’ 41-10 win over Salford on the weekend.

Well done PUTRELL...

We all like to put **** on our players especially the former players. but good on him. Obviously recovered from his DVT/heart condition (?) well and still playing well enough to get paid to do it.

I wonder if a another club will pick him up and not do due diligence on why he was let go.

Sorry wasn't having a dig at you, should have just quoted the article. Did you mention the typo to Purts when you spoke earlier in the week?

Completely unrelated to any of this, I'm sure, here is a snippet from the CT today:

Caught out

Which former NRL player, currently in the Super League, has been busted having an affair with his teammate's partner? The club is aware of the situation and is desperate to off-load him.

Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by Mods. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Nickman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Lucy, and you curse GE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that GE’s moderation, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps threads on track and under the appropriately sized, highlighted green headings.
You want moderation because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that forum -- you need me on that forum. We use words like "stay on topic," "use the appropriate forum," "please delete." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very moderation that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a green handle and edit a post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think about moderation.

A former NRL star in in deep trouble with his club in England after getting VERY up close and personal with a team-mate’s wife. The player is on the nose with team-mates and has been censured by his club, with his future in doubt.

What’s more – the team-mates, and his wife, are also Aussies!

Lol Dugan doesnt have explosive quickness or the strength to make it in the NFL.. heck, he doesnt even have the work ethic that I was surprised to hear Hayne having, to make it in the NFL

FIRST it was Jarryd Hayne. Now hulking Broncos winger Daniel Vidot is hoping to conquer America by trialling for a World Wrestling Entertainment contract.

The Courier-Mail can reveal Vidot has been targeted by the professional wrestling organisation that unearthed superstars Hulk Hogan, The Rock and Andre the Giant.

He has been in negotiations with WWE representatives for the past month. He has been on the radar of US wrestling talent scouts for the past year as part of WWE’s strategy to promote Australian talent.
