I havent watched any games since the Tigers game I think, which from the sounds of it has been a good thing. We're a better team then the Dragons and they'll be playing finals footy, its pretty bizarre that we're relatively close to last place.

The knights & tigers will both lose next week they played their grand final this round. She'll be right.

Fun fact, the Dragons are an NRL side who can defend their edges with some degree of competency.

Really?? You don't think playing next week to avoid the wooden spoon will count as "playing their grand final"??

There was a fair bit of emotion around Newcastle with Kurt's last home game and old boys day and that. Could he hard to replicate that effort. Yeah righto I'm probably in denial. Can't happen can it? We should be as desperate. Surely we can win 1 more game. Surely. She'll be right.

Well, no Spoon for us I guess that's a bonus!

It's crazy how close the bottom half of the ladder is this year.

We are where we deserve to be, not Good enough for the finals but a better side than the Tigers, Titans, Warriors, panthers, eels, knights

Gone off a bit early on the Eels there.

Hey this thread started as a "we could still make the finals"... Not my fault Stuart gave them all an "off week" and cost us the season...

So, if we beat the Eels and Cronulla beat Manly then we finish 9th....with a 10-14 record.

I will be more pissed if we beat the Eels and the Dragons lose to the Tigers. It would mean our gutless effort against the Titans cost us the chance at playing semi-finals football.

It's OK, Ricky gave them a pass as they have already performed better than he expected. Ricky Stuart, motivational speaker of the year...

Why has Karmichael got a spoon now? Seems a bit drastic.
Gina Riley: Oh, come on, John. That’s a bit old hat, the corrupt IOC delegate.
John Clarke: Old hat? Gina, in the scientific world when they see that something is happening again and again and again, repeatedly, they don’t call it old hat. They call it a pattern.

I predicted Penrith to get the spoon at the start of the year but I can't find the thread to prove it....

The best part about this thread is it has no date in the heading so we can keep it for next year.

I really hope, even if Stuart doesn't finally improve or get replaced, that we are in no way hunting for the spoon next year... I can just change the title too...
