I honestly don't care anymore. The coach is happy that we're equal last so why should I invest a single extra ****??

I'm leaning a bit this way too. Two more games to sit through and we are out of our misery for another 6 months. Of course the boys will have the best pre season ever and be ready to rock&roll when 2016 comes around.

I'd seriously bring in Nickman, mom tonight in touch footy.

Probably relegated to the bench because he didn't give a **** about tonight.

Given what happened to Austin tonight, and the fact that this game means nothing now that we cant get thr spoon, im going to break my rule about Jack.

1. Rapana
2. Eddy
3. Toots
4. Brenko - for the benefit of the team going forward, he needs more NRL experience
5. Waqa
6. Wighton - its a 1 off to cover Austin. Again, a little extra experience in leadership and pressure will benefit the team in the long run.
7. Williams
8. FPN
9. Hodgo
10. Shillo - soooooo close to getting off the nudie run
11. Papa - finally looked like the Papa we remember
12. JK - would rather someone else, but wont happen. He was good again tonight, backed up last wks effort.
13. Fensom

14. Baptiste
15. Bateman
16. Vaughan
17. Boyd

That looks about right, Matt. Not much point bringing back Cornish or McCrone at this stage

Chance both jack and papa will be suspended

Papa for his shoulder charge or the lifting/dangerous tackle

Nothing in neither but the nrl are "being tough"

If Soward is out jack will go even though there was no problem

There is nothing in the Papalii incidents. And the refs and video refs reviewed the Wighton tackle and said it was not an illegal tackle. I'll be stunned if either are charged.

Would it be worth trying Baptiste or Hodgson in the halves in Austin's absence?

Wighton surely won't be suspended, it wasn't a shoulder charge and I can't see much be could have done to avoid the high tackle.

You'd like to think McCrone would stay at Mounties and play in their semi

That leaves using one of the hookers , Baptiste or shifting Wighton

Interesting which way Sticky will go

I wouldn't move Jack from fullback. He is a reliable No.1. I don't know that there are any U/20s ready in the backs so I wonder how JC would go at 5/8. Sisa to move to left center and Rapana into the right wing slot he has played often this year. Blake Austin is a running 5/8 and using JC would have another running player in the position. I would like to see how JC handled the role. Hopefully similar to how Jamie Lyon goes on occasion for Manly.

tbh I was very surprised wighton didnt get put on report.

Old school rugby league it was a fantasticly timed hard hit.

But tbh even though it wasnt a shoulder charge he still appeared to hit him hard and high, you would think a dangerous grading is warranted.

Ok, I care again now. Here's my team (assuming Paps is suspended for at least one of his fifty incidents out there and Austin is missing):

1. Rapana
2. Eddie Lee
3. Croker (c)
4. Brenko Lee
5. Waqa
6. Wighton
7. Sammy Williams
8. FPN
9. Hodgson
10. Shillo (I'll begrudgingly give him this last game, although I DON'T think he deserved MOTM last night!)
11. Barnett
12. Kennedy
13. Fensom

14. Baptiste
15. Batman
16. Vaughan
19. Boyd

I beg you Mr Stuart, please don't let the lasting memory of 2015 be that of McCrone running around in 1st grade. Move Jack (if he's not suspended) as we have options to cover fullback and I still think it's good for Jack's development to be up in the line sometimes.

After various discussions with some pretty keen footy people I know outside the GH and also at work, we all agreed that Wighton's tackle was just a great hit and part of a collision sport. Nothing to see here. Which is exactly why he'll be suspended. It doesn't matter who people support, absolutely everyone has the sense that whatever is the logical thing to do, the NRL will somehow opt to go the other way.

I can't see him disrupting Mounties.

We'll see a makeshift half I'd say. Williams will run the show.
well, I guess you could say that I'm buy curious.

But Toots doesn't pass :P

TBH, I don't think that would work, but as a 1 off game you could try it.

For a one off I'd say bring McCrone in but best not to disrupt Mounties finals campaign IMO. I'd rather keep Jack at the back but moving him may be the sensible option with Rapana coming back. Or out of left field could throw Brenko Lee in at 6. He's had a bit of a go there in U20s IIRC.
