Simon Woolford hit with nine month ban

FORMER Raiders hooker and current coach of the Queanbeyan Blues, Simon Woolford, has been hit with a whopping nine-month suspension.

During his side’s dramatic semi-final win over West Belconnen Woolford broke the coaching box window out of frustration and fronted the Canberra Region Rugby League disciplinary hearing on Wednesday night where the verdict was passed.

The ban means that Woolford will not be allowed to coach the side in this weekend’s grand final but he will be allowed Seiffert Oval to watch the match

My pet hate is the use of verse as a verb - eg Who do we verse this week?

That seems a bit harsh, Dessie wouldn't have lasted a second game in the nrl if they had the same consequences.

I don't think he even got a fine for breaking the dressing room door.

Just throwing it out there that both spellings can act as a verb and a noun. That said, the example you gave is the more common way each is used.

Just throwing it back, if you use affect as a noun and effect as a verb, then you're doing it wrong :p

Return serve: affect is a noun when using it in an emotional context. Effect is a verb when you use it to mean the initiation of an action! :)
