I reckon the case of the raiders being turned down by some 5/8ths from other clubs in the period to mid July and the backflip by Tedesco made it a decision Stuart thought he had to make.

I still can't believe mccrone has gone so far backwards since registering top 5 stats in the NRL for line breaks and line break assists in 2012 and up to mid 2013. I guess papalli and ferguson helped his cause.

He played simple ran straight and was very handy.

I think a combination of Brett Kimmorley's coaching and Rodman's incessant posting ****ed him up, actually

When he does this, and this only he is ok. But he has really tried to overplay his hand way too much.

Dead set nickman I can't believe I never connected the dots. Brett kimmorley!!!!

My biggest problem with him near the end of his career was he would never pass early, he always wanted to throw that money ball. He would always ay flat and ball at so late that his plan b and c were no longer available leaving the only option a hospital pass to option A.

Mcrone was good in his day because he'd engage the defenders bit give it early enough paps could still putt footwork on, or Thompson could adjust his line! Now it's 2 steps too late

Very hard to fault this.

Not only was Furner's retention woeful, his recruitment was garbage as well. You don't have to look any further than his efforts for the 2014 season.

Furner did well recruiting Soliola, Austin and Hodgson in 2014, credit to him.

No i think the point being made, and it's a very fair and valid one, is that if you're going to blame Furner for retaining McCrone and absolve Stuart for that error, a full 9 months after the man was sacked, then it's only fair that you credit him for the recruitment at the same period.

You can't have it both ways, gentleman.

Stuart and Stuart alone (well, DFJ too) are responsible for McCrone's retention. Not the guy who was sacked 9 months before that re-signing was made. What next? We're going to blame FPN on Furner too?

Be serious.

Surely a third party deal with Crimsafe is on the cards.
