The site is now open for business guys.

https://thebench.com.au/home

First up - the new guys joining welcome aboard and welcome back Tim. Go to the site and sign up with an email address and password.

You guys from last year should be able to use your log in details from last year.

You guys need to have a chat and sort out what draft you want to use this year, we are using the Quick Draft, it has returned, it use to have a 2 minute clock count down each round and everyone selected a player at the same time each round for 25 rounds, it took about an hour.

You can do the 24hr Draft if you like, you could start as soon as everyone has joined the comp, we still need one more to join up so we have 10 teams.

NRLCEO will have a Season Guide come in about a week, it is a good read and has all the stats from last year, it is a PDF file you can download, it was about $7.

I will set up the comp later on today and put the scoring and other info up just above.

I'm pretty flexible re the draft, but I like the 24hr draft better (i.e. take turns picking, have 24 hours per pick). Everyone can then draft in their own time. Plenty of time to get it done before the season starts.

I think I'd prefer the 24h draft too, but it can drag on a little bit and I don't mind if we choose to do the other one.

I like the idea of the 24hr draft. I just cant find 50 mins of pure uninterrupted time anymore. I struggled with the NBA draft and that was 45mins.

Yeah, I agree. I see absolutely no reason to get the whole thing over in an hour and from all reports it always ends up a debarkle anyway and some people end up horribly screwed.

I'm happy with the 24 hour draft but perhaps an idea that we set up a list of email addresses for each participant so that the pickee can let the picker know when its their turn

24hour sounds good, assuming we can still still pick a whole bunch of pre picks that just cycle through.

Once everyone joins I can set the draft time to start.

On the home page it has the Ladder with all the Clubs, above that click on Preferences, you can then type in a players name, select the player or as many as you want, to put them in your draft preference order, use the little arrow icon next to the player, the bin icon is to delete anyone from your list.

The new NRL CEO season guide is out today for $7.95 if anyone's interested. Makes drafting easier having all the stats/team/bye info in one place.

Thanks for putting it up mate :)

The guide is a good read, you get good info on player stats from last year which will be a big help to look over for your draft, hints and tips from the nrlceo gurus ect.... it has info on the Champions League (aussie1st is in this yr) and Legends of League comps.

If anyone is interested in doing a Tier 3 legends of league comp, you will have to be quick to join once it opens, only 4 spots open in each of the 6 comps, the Stacey Jones comp is alined to the Big Mal Comp, myself and RRA are in the Mal comp again this yr. If you finish top 4 in a Tier 3 comp you get promoted to the alined Tier 2 comp the following yr.

Still one spot available. If anyone is getting a bit sick of those supercoach-style comps, and wants to give draft-based fantasy footy a go, they are more than welcome :)

Millsy, I really cannot see myself having time to commit to an hour quick draft due to obligations etc. Can I slot back into this league and do the 24hr one and allow one of the guys to move up in my place to the Premiership?

Cheers.
Avatar Bet - bleedgreen99 - Raiders to make (BG99)/miss(Lucy) the 8. Avatar from last round of regular season 2015 until GF 2016.
Signature Bet - Raider85 - Raiders to get(Lucy)/miss(R85) the wooden spoon. Signature for entire offseason.
Bottle of something to the value of $70 - Matthew Borewood to not see (Lucy)/to see (Piggles) a first grade game in 2015 for the Warriors.

Ok no worries mate, aussie1st will come back up.

Toviii will send you the token to join up. I will delete aussie from Div 2 now.

If you want to just go with 9 teams, Dexta the computer club will draft and play all year, or you can wait for a 10th team for a while longer.

Actually I will pm doobyntus, he was in last year.
