Hmm not sure how Austin managed 2 points more than Cornish... if anything I thought Cornish had a slightly better game, or at least be on par with Austin

As far as I've ever taken notice, RLW has never had a clue.

Hodgson got a 6? What was Buttriss getting last year?
Gina Riley: Oh, come on, John. That’s a bit old hat, the corrupt IOC delegate.
John Clarke: Old hat? Gina, in the scientific world when they see that something is happening again and again and again, repeatedly, they don’t call it old hat. They call it a pattern.

His performance was more than 0.3 better than Buttriss' average.

Most of those numbers look a little high, esp after seeing the missed tackle counts.

However, Cornish = 5?!?! Please! His kicking game was very good, esp. in the 1st half, and had a couple of good runs, if Eddy Lee made 6, Cornish at least deserves that too. Eddy missed 3 or 4 tackles, and only made 60 odd meters. Not a great performance, not terrible though.

I think Macca got luck with a 5 too. Didn't seem to be out there long enough, or get too involved to get that. His biggest involvement was 15 tackles.

That's because he's a ****ing ball hog. His "stats" can be as good as they want, his team lost the game

Don't forget that Macca actually almost scored the game winner late in the game with his crash over from dummy half - was just unlucky not to be able to ground the ball. He was the one that also kicked that grubber that was also almost a game winning try to Croker.

Anyways, I think those points look out of whack... the difference between Cornish and Austin was definitely not worth 2 points. I'm wondering if they just looked at who got the Dally M points and based it on that - I dont know how Austin got the 2 points for Dally M either - though am happy that it went to someone on our team.

Agreed Aero.
I guess that was my point overall, that the numbers are a little random/ inconsistent.
As for Macca, that's true. Probably deserves 5 just for not putting the grubber dead :thumbsup

Austin played ok but how does he get dally M points over Soliola, Rapana, Waqa and several others? Gallen too. Almost as if the only watch the names they recognise and half ass the thing.

There is no way Austin played better than Hodgson or Soliola in that game.

Soliola missing out on 2 points was a rather large oversight in my humble opinion. Gallen was the Sharks best so can understand why he got the 1 point but I personally would have given it to Waqa.

His stats were great

He was at fault when Wighton scored the first try and he was also at fault when Waqa brushed him off for the last try.... maybe raiders people voted for him :doubt:
2017: 1. Wighton 2. Cotric 3. Croker (c) 4. Leiluia 5. Rapana 6. Austin 7. Sezer 8. Paulo 9. Hodgson 10. Boyd 11. Papalii 12. Whitehead 13. Soliola ----
14. Baptiste 15. Taylor 16. Bateman 17. Tarpine

Concentrate on the process and the result will take care of itself...
