55th min Dragons absolutely bomb a try, but there's now a penalty to the Dragons for a high shot. Dragons held up over the line on the third tackle. And now it is another penalty to the Dragons for a leg pull.

Better pull their finger out soon if they want this
Gina Riley: Oh, come on, John. That’s a bit old hat, the corrupt IOC delegate.
John Clarke: Old hat? Gina, in the scientific world when they see that something is happening again and again and again, repeatedly, they don’t call it old hat. They call it a pattern.

68th min The Raiders again throw away the ball in good position. It is simply not their day, and they are playing catch up football. And now penalised for a strip.

If only Croker had kicked a few more goals...

76th min Hickson runs wide and he was always going to be taken over the sideline. Raiders needed much better service from dummy half, the set looked slow.

To be fair that quality of services has been deemed acceptable in first grade for the past 10 years.

MATCH REPORT: Canberra Raiders go down to St George Illawarra Dragons

A spirited fight back wasn't enough to keep the Raiders NYC side's win streak alive, as they lost to St George Dragons 24-20 at WIN Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The Dragons came out with a strong intent on breaking their four game losing streak against bitter rivals Canberra. Unfortunately for the Green Machine they were unable to put together back to back tries and were left chasing the Dragons for much of the contest.

St George's forwards were too strong as they made easy metres through the middle and the backs enjoyed the lions share of the territory. Luciano Leilua for the Dragons proved too good on multiple occasions worrying Canberra's defense throughout the game.
