NYC MATCH REPORT: Brisbane Broncos overcome Canberra Raiders

After charging out to a four-point lead at half-time, the Raiders U20's couldn't match it with the Broncos in the second half, going down 24-16.

Coach Brett White made one late change to the team for the clash, bringing in Logan Spaander to replace Kitione Vikash on the wing.

As has been standard in the first month of the season, the Raiders started relatively slow, but unlike past matches their defence held strong and repelled numerous Broncos attacks.

Brisbane Broncos 24 (Payne Haas, Corey Allan 2, Brent Woolf. Burns 4/4) defeated Canberra Raiders 16 (Jarred Tuite, Kalani Going, Van Dartel. Van Dartel 2/2)

Quite odd to see Spaander named on the wing.

Good to see Tuite doing well. Surprised to see his transition to hooker has been smooth sailing.
